Announcing the Versiv 6.12 Upgrade

Fluke Networks continues to innovate and enhance the Versiv product line and our new 6.12 release maintains that effort.  This upgrade, available now on flukenetworks.com and through LinkWare Live adds two new enhancements that make Versiv even more productive:

• A warning that the attached module is nearing its annual calibration date.  Starting at 30 days before calibration is due the notification will appear each time the tester is powered up until the module is calibrated. The user can clear this notification by touching the display.  This was a request from customers who wanted some warning that the tester needed calibration in advance so they could schedule for it.
• Additions to the CertiFiber Pro Set Reference Wizard to make sure it’s done right: first, a warning appears when the length of the verified TRCs is 0; second, a button on the screen makes it easier to access the camera to inspect the end faces and ensure they’re clean.

• Updated fiber inspection limits based on the latest standard: IEC 613000-3-35-ED3
• Updated copper limits for:
  • Industrial Ethernet End-to-End (VW Group)
  • JIS (all Japan limits now incorporated in a single menu)
  • China standard YD/T1010
  • ISO/IEC ISO/IEC 11801-9900 (supporting 25 Gb/s over greater than 30 m)
• New or updated support for cabling from:
  • Siemens Simatic
  • Kerpen
  • Protec.Net
  • Solarix
  • OFS
  • Paige GameChanger
  • OCC
  • Leviton / BerkTek
  • Excel

LinkWare PC, the world’s leading PC-based cabling management system, has also been updated to version 11.6, with support for 6.12.
