Setting A Custom Bit Pattern On The 635 QuickBert
The 635 QuickBert has eleven preset test patterns that may be used to perform a BERT test to qualify a test pair. The test pattern called User may be programmed for a custom bit pattern. This pattern is a 64-bit user-programmable pattern, with a default pattern of 1:16. The 1:16 pattern is a repeating 16-bit pattern in the following form: 0100 0000 0000 0000. When the unit is turned on, it automatically reverts to the default pattern. To set the user pattern to something other than the default, proceed with the following: Press the LOOP CODE key and RESULTS DOWN key simultaneously. This will display the current user pattern. Twenty bits will be displayed on each of the top three lines. Four bits will be displayed in the first four character positions of the bottom line. Also displayed on the bottom line will be "user ![]() ![]()
