Reference values you can expect with the DTX-EFM2

Reference values give a good indication that the sources are operating as expected. They DO NOT give any assurance that the test reference cords are good. If you are reading this article because you are getting negative loss readings, you should review this article.
 
As a guide, when setting a reference, you should expect better than:

• DTX-EFM2 62.5/125 µm: -18.5 dBm to -20.00 dBm
• DTX-EFM2 50/125 µm: -22.0 dBm -24.50 dBm 
   
  where -23.5 dBm is better than -24.50 dBm.
