Brady and Fluke Networks Extend Benefits of LinkWare Live Platform Giving Contractors and Installers Tools to Increase Productivity of Wire and Cable Labeling and Installation Projects
Fluke Networks announced that Brady, a global leader in industrial and safety identification systems and solutions, has joined the LinkWare Live Affiliates Program with new functionality for the Brady Text Labels Mobile App to integrate Brady BMP®51 or BMP®61 Wireless Label Printers with the industry-leading LinkWare Live cloud-based results management platform.
Together, the Brady Text Labels Mobile App and Fluke Networks’ LinkWare Live improve the efficiency and productivity of network and cable labeling processes by eliminating time consuming and error prone tasks. LinkWare Live can house cable identification data generated during the network design phase of a project.
“There are tremendous business benefits for contractors and installers using Brady products integrated with LinkWare Live,” said Nicole Nelson, Global Product Manager, Portable Systems for Brady. “Brady is a leading provider of high performance materials that are specified in key applications and companies in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry. Now, by being able to manage, access and print cable IDs from a single database via LinkWare Live, the solution not only reduces errors, automates and speeds up the labeling process – it will increase profitability on each project for our customers.”
Now project managers, cable technicians and installers can easily access projects in LinkWare Live, import cable ID data to the Brady mobile app and use templates or create and edit labels to simplify labeling tasks. Installers can either print in the field using the LinkWare Live to Brady Text Labels Mobile app or download files before heading to a project. The connection from the Brady Mobile app to a Brady BMP51 or BMP61 portable wireless printer allows for easy and efficient editing and printing labels in the field.
“We are hearing from contractors and installers that they are experiencing double-digit increases in productivity by using cable ID and labeling applications and printers integrated with LinkWare Live, like Brady’s BMP51 or BMP61 driven by the Brady Text Labels Mobile App,” said Harley Lang, RCDD, Fluke Networks Global Marketing Director. “LinkWare Live Affiliates such as Brady are giving contractors and installers all the advantages they need to not only to create more efficient workflows and improve productivity – it’s transforming the way they work and do business.”
Fluke Networks is the world’s leading provider of tools that certify and troubleshoot network cabling installations. The company introduced the innovative LinkWare Live infrastructure -- the world’s first cloud-connected contractor workflow and results management platform -- in late 2014. Fluke Networks has steadily added new capabilities to the service since that time. The recent LinkWare Live Affiliates Program agreements highlight the fact that the cloud certification service is transforming the cable installation industry ecosystem, providing industry vendors the opportunity to integrate their technologies with this new, powerful platform.
“Given the size and complexity of the cable installation projects today, network designers and installers are turning to LinkWare Live to help manage testing”, said Lang. “Now they are turning to LinkWare Live Affiliates’ to benefit from the improved capabilities in their tools that integrate with our platform.”
LinkWare Live allows users to upload, manage and analyze complex cable installation data from anywhere. LinkWare Live operates in the cloud and bridges the gap between the project manager’s office where much of the data for cable installations originates, and the jobsite. The ability for onsite workers and project managers to access the same data, regardless of their location, creates considerable efficiencies. LinkWare Live works with Fluke Networks Versiv testers, including DSX-8000 CableAnalyzer™, OptiFiber® Pro and CertiFiber™ Pro certification testers. To date, users have uploaded more than nine million test results to the LinkWare Live platform.
