No Shield Result - AC Wire Map - DSX CableAnalyzer

Not seeing a shield indication on your shielded cable test?

If you are using a DSX-5000 CableAnalyzer set, go to the TEST SETUP screen and look for the setting AC Wire Map. If this setting is turned ON, resistance and shield continuity tests are automatically disabled.

The AC Wire Map setting is for testing through midspan POE devices. If you are not testing through a midspan POE device, this setting should be turned OFF.

Note: The AC Wire Map setting is not available on DSX-8000 CableAnalyzer sets.
